Celts Steal Win in Miami

Dwayne Wade supplied 44 points and some key pressure defense to come up with the steal and go-ahead score with 0.6 left in regulation. Head coach Doc Rivers then drew up a play for the Boston Celtics to execute to perfection with Rajon Rondo cutting to the basket for the tip in send the game to overtime. From there the Celtics took control with the six point OT advantage en route to defeating the Miami Heat 112-106 yesterday at American Airlines Arena.

“We’ve been working on that play for a long time, actually since last year,” said Rondo. “As soon as Wade stole the ball, I knew exactly that was the play we were going to run.” Rondo led the Celtics with 25 points and eight assists. Paul Pierce produced a solid stat line in his return from injury with 17 points, five assists and six rebounds. Ray Allen netted 3-of-4 attempts from downtown to score 22 while collecting a game high four steals.
