January Events Featuring Patriots Playoffs

All eyes are on the Patriots this month as they continue on their path to a repeat Super Bowl appearance. The Pats will host the winner of the Wildcard Round at Gillette Stadium on Sunday January 13th in the AFC Divisional Playoff and then it’s on to the AFC Championship January 20th! Ace Ticket will have a full inventory for all Patriots Playoff games, home or away.

The Boston Celtics host 9 home games this month including the season’s most anticipated matchup against Lebron James and the Miami Heat on Sunday 1/27 at 1pm.

January is a great month for concerts in Boston. The House of Blues has a huge line up featuring Ellie Goulding on 1/23, Reel Big Fish on 1/27, The Used on 1/29, Lotus on 1/25 , and Marilyn Manson on 1/26! Seeing Marilyn Manson in a small intimate venue like the HOB is an experience of a lifetime!

Speaking of once in a lifetime concert experience – Soundgarden and their original lineup featuring Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd play the Orpheum Theatre on 1/20. Since the release of their new album Animal Kingdom, Soundgarden has been on tour, thrilling fans young and old with new songs and their older hits like Outshined, Spoonman and Black Hole Sun.

Sister Act will begin its limited run in Boston at the Boston Opera House on 1/22 and run through 2/4. It promises to be one of the years hottest shows do to it’s stellar cast, huge production value and fantastic score. The show has been nominated for 5 Tony awards including Best Play, Best Score and Best Actress in a Leading Role. Sister Act is a musical based on the 1992 movie of the same name starring Whoopie Goldberg. The story centers on a Disco diva who witnesses a murder then is hidden in a Convent by the police. The show is appropriate for all ages.

Finally, Spank: The 50 Shades of Grey Parody will headline the Wilbur Theatre on January 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. Spank is a musical parody of 50 Shades of Grey, the fastest selling paperback of all time. Spank has played to sold out audiences all over the East Coast, Canada and Vegas and has gotten rave reviews in every city it’s played.
