The Dallas Cowboys finally claimed victory in the playoffs for the first time since December of 1996 Saturday night over the Philadelphia Eagles 34-14 in Arlington, TX. Following a scoreless first quarter the Cowboys really found their rhythm, posting 27 points in the second while holding Philly to just one score.
“It’s just … rewarding,” said QB Tony Romo. “It makes me proud of the guys in there – fighting, grinding, staying committed to the approach. I’m happy for the guys, happy for Wade, happy for Jerry.”
Felix Jones produced a 73 yard run in the third quarter for six, marking the Cowboys final TD of the contest. The Eagles scored again in the fourth but the game was already well out of reach at that point. Dallas is set to play Minnesota in the NFC Divisional Round next Sunday at 1:00 PM.
