Paul Pierce scored 15 of his game-high 25 points in the first quarter to lead his Boston Celtics past the Sacramento Kings 119-95 Wednesday night at the TD Garden. after a tough loss to a mediocre Houston lineup on Monday, the Celtics made sure to report to work on time through the snow with hopes to regain their confidence. “They were primed for a good effort to get the bad taste of the last game out of their mouths,” said Kings coach Paul Westphal. “They showed what kind of team they are. They’re a big-time machine.”

Rajon Rondo collected 10 points, 13 assists and two stealsĀ in his 29 minutes on the floor. Nate Robinson netted 4-of-6 from long range for 16 points off the bench. Eight different Celtics finished with double-digit numbers between Pierce, Rondo, Robinson, Ray Allen, Glen Davis, Marquis Daniels, Von Wafer and Semih Erden.
