Vikings Wait on Cowboys

The Minnesota Vikings (12-4) after a well deserved first-round bye week are set to host the Dallas Cowboys (11-5) Sunday in the NFC Divisional playoff round at 12:00 PM ET. Quarterback Brett Favre and his offense averaged 29.4 points per game compared to the Cowboys 22.6, but Tony Romo and crew have really turned things around in the final stretch of their 2009-2010 campaign.

Favre has said for the Cowboys to represent a team that nobody wishes to compete against right now. “I mean, this is the playoffs. Rarely can you play badly or average and win,” said Favre. “So, we are aware of how we need to play. In the fact that we are playing maybe, in my opinion, the hottest team in football right now. Just from a confidence level, from just watching them play, they are making plays, they know they are making plays, they are confident.”

The Cowboys have lost their last three games at the Metrodome that includes a 1999 wild-card playoff contest. They last claimed victory there back in 1995. Dallas may have the momentum but Minnesota will expect to negate this advantage early and often through home-field advantage. Purchase your Vikings vs. Cowboys tickets right here at!
