New England jam band Dispatch has plans to regroup and schedule their first summer tour in over a decade. The six-date run will begin at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO June 4th and conclude at the TD Garden in Boston, MA June 25th. Other cities to welcome in the group will be Chicago, Berkeley, Harrison and Atlanta. Members Chad Urmston, Pete Francis and Brad Corrigan have also been working on their first studio album since 2000’s “Who Are We Living For?”
Dispatch is well known for incorporating a number of genres into their original music, specializing in reggae, folk, funk and rock. Their most recognized singles include “The General,” “Mission,” “Out Loud,” “Open Up” and “Carry You.” Urmston emphasized that the resurgence of the band won’t mean the end of his post-Dispatch project, State Radio. “It’s possible to be in two successful bands at once,” he said. “I think it’s just a hard job for Dalton Sim, our manager.” Check back for additional Dispatch concert updates!
