Celtics Blog posted in regards to speculation surrounding the C’s dealing for Nate Robinson sometime in the near future. The 2X Dunk champion PG has been struggling with the New York Knicks and at this point would prefer to showcase his talents elsewhere. The New York Daily News spoke with someone close to Doc Rivers, who said for the head coach to believe “he can connect with anybody.”
Last year Boston was able to form Stephon Marbury into his role to help strengten the guard position off the bench. Robinson, who was ignored for 14 straight games through December could be a similar story. The 25-year old is averaging 13 points and 3.2 assists so far this season.
In other Celtics news, Kevin Garnett just recently returned to practice yesterday and expects to be back on the floor for their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. “He looked real fluid, he got up and down the court, and we got him the ball in the post,” said captain Paul Pierce. “It’s just good to have him out there. His presence, you feel it and see it on the court.” Boston Celtics tickets are now available!
