Favre, Saints Fans Get Their Wish

The Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints are set to matchup on January 24th at the Superdome. QB Brett Favre will soon be surrounded by a fan base he is all to familiar with, the ‘Who Dat’ nation. Even though he grew up cheering by their side as a boy, he’s not sure how Saints fans will respond when he and his Vikings step on to the field Sunday.

From a handful of conversations between Favre and head coach Sean Peyton, the Saints organization is well aware of #4’s original NFL roots. “I told him secretly I’m a Saints fan,” said Favre. “We didn’t think we were going to actually play. There was always an outside chance, but go figure.” The Kiln, Mississippi native will have to defeat his first love in order to fight for his second career Super Bowl victory.

New Orleans will surely be fired up with hopes to advance to the big stage for the first time in franchise history. Drew Brees racked up an outstanding stat line this season, throwing for 4,388 yards and 34 TD’s. This game could turn into quite the shootout, knowing both squads have averaged around 400 yards per game in 2009. Saints vs. Vikings tickets are now available right here at AceTicket.com!
