Pop acts New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are set to co-headline at Boston’s Fenway Park Saturday, June 11th as part of their 41-date string of shows across the country this summer. The highly anticipated concert will come just one week after they take center stage at the TD Garden. “Long before they were famous, the New Kids were huge Sox fans and used to come and hang out at the ballpark quite often,” concert promoter Live Nation informed the Boston Herald. “When they made it big they still came to the park. It’s a huge thrill for them to play Fenway.”

America’s most beloved ballpark has hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry. Red Sox owner John Henry and company have been booking acts since 2003, welcoming in Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, the Police, Neil Diamond, Phish, Paul McCartney, Aerosmith and J. Geils Band.

New Kids On The Block has continued to tour extensively since their “Summertime” resurgence in 2008. Their fifth studio album The Block debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Pop Album Chart and #1 on the Billboard 200. The Backstreet Boys have also found a great deal of success through their 2009 album This Is Us. Featuring singles “Straight Through My Heart” and “Bigger,” the album sold 42,000 copies in its first week of release and peaked at #2 in Japan.
