Celtics guard Ray Allen expressed his opinions earlier this week in regards to his upcoming free agency period. The veteran sharp shooter hopes to remain in Boston and wouldn’t mind taking a pay cut to do. “I’d like to be here. There’s no reason to be any other place,” said Allen. “I’d love to retire with this organization. But that’s up to the team. I want to be here. This team has proven over the decades to be a winner, one of the best in sports, and that’s what this organization plans to do. I’m committed to it.”

There are rumors circulating that Boston is looking to trade Allen before his contract expires. Celtics head coach Doc Rivers decided share his thoughts with WEEI radio station, saying “I’ve heard some silly talk over the last two or three days about trades that we’ve been discussing…I don’t think there’s a trade out there that we can pull off and I don’t mind if we don’t.” The C’s are scheduled for a game against the Orlando Magic tonight at 8:00 PM in Florida. Boston Celtics tickets are now available!
