Bruins to Open Next Season in Prague

The National Hockey League recently announced that the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Phoenix Coyotes and San Jose Sharks have been chosen to open up their 2010-2011 regular season campaigns overseas. The Bruins and Coyotes will matchup at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic on Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th.

The B’s roster includes Czech players David Krejci and Vladimir Sobotka along with Slovakia’s Zdeno Chara and Miroslav Satan. The trip will mark the first time in 50 years that Boston has competed in Europe.

The Bruins are now 24-22-11 looking ahead to their next game against the Buffalo Sabres. They just snapped their 10-game losing streak with a win over the Montreal Canadiens. Boston will try to keep up the winning as they travel to Buffalo, Tampa Bay and Fort Lauderdale for their next three contests. Boston Bruins tickets are now available!
