Dwayne Wade represented his Miami Heat well, earning MVP rights with 28 points, 11 assists and six rebounds to help lead the Eastern Conference to a 141-139 NBA All-Star victory in front of the 108,713 in attendance at Cowboy Stadium. “To be able to perform in front of a crowd like that, I know that. I know I can do it, I’ve done it before,” said Wade. “So just to be able to put on a show like that and to get the win, and to make key plays down the stretch was what I like.”

LeBron James and Chris Bosh enhanced yesterday’s entertainment with a pair of flashy 25 and 23 point performances. Carmelo Anthony posted a game-high 27 despite the West coming up short in the final minute. Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki impressed his hometown crowd with 22 points. This year’s All-Star spectacular was certainly special in light of the record breaking attendance. “You could look up in the stands, and there was not a seat open,” said James. “To be part of history is something that you always wish and dream for.”
