Blogs around Boston, including Boston.com, are speculating a possible Bruce Springsteen return to Fenway Park this summer. Springsteen was the first of a run of performers to play at Fenway in 2003. He is already scheduled for a concert at Boston’s TD Garden on March 26, 2012, and according to this post on Boston.com, he might be coming again sometime in August.
“Bruce Spingsteen is back with a new record, and we’re told his March 26 tour date at TD Garden may not be your only chance to see the Boss in Boston. Word is Springsteen, who played at Fenway Park in 2003, is eyeing a return to the ballpark Aug. 11 — a Saturday night when the Sox will be in Cleveland.”
Springsteen started off last Sunday’s Grammy Awards, where he performed “We Take Care of Our Own,” a single coming off his new album, Wrecking Ball, scheduled to be released on March 6, 2012. He is a 21-time Grammy Award winner, has 17 albums– including Born in the U.S.A and Born To Run, and was named #23 on Rolling Stone’s Greatest Artists.
He will kick off his 2012 tour for Wrecking Ball with the E Street Band on March 18 in Atlanta, Georgia and will continue throughout the U.S. and Europe. Stay tuned for more Bruce Springsteen tour updates!
