Motley Crue to Launch Tour With Poison, New York Dolls

By on March 15, 2011 in

Heavy metal rockers Motley Crue, Poison and New York Dolls have scheduled to tour across the country together starting June 7th at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, TX. They will make their way to the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA before the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY welcomes them in the following day. Other cities listed on the 37-date itinerary are Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Nashville, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte and Pittsburgh.

This tour will serve as memorable for each of the three bands. Motley Crue celebrates its 30th anniversary this year while Poison and New York Dolls enter their 25th and 40th years in the business. “For awhile, it’s something that the fans have been asking for,” said drummer Tommy Lee. “When promoters and enough people start asking you to do something, you’re like, ‘Ah, okay, cool! Let’s go do it!’ Then, we started kicking around some band names. The New York Dolls came up first.”
