The Foo Fighters have announced six tour dates in anticipation for their seventh studio album Wasting Light, which is set for release Tuesday, April 12th. The album’s lead single “Rope” became the second in history to debut atop the Rock Songs chart after Linkin Park’s “The Catalyst.” The project will follow-up to 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, which peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the #1 single “The Pretender.”
Supporting acts Motorhead and Biffy Clyro are set to accompany the Foo Fighters on tour. The string of shows will kick off at the BOK Center Tuesday, May 17th in Tulsa, OK. Additional cities are so far confirmed in North Little Rock, AR, Memphis, TN, Council Bluffs, IA and Missoula, MT. They will also take part in the Hangout Music Festival May 21st in Gulf Shores, AL, and the Sasquatch! Music Festival May 27th in Quincy, WA.
