4x NFL MVP Peyton Manning is officially a member of the Denver Broncos after signing a contract with the club on Tuesday. The deal is constructed to pay out as much as $96 million over the next five years.

Manning will collect $18 million in 2012 and roughly $20 million in each of the following seasons pending a physical. The 11x Pro Bowler is the fastest ever to reach 50,000 yards passing and also fastest to rack up 4,000 total completions. He turns 36 on Saturday and missed all of last season due to multiple neck operations. Denver will now look to trade quarterback Tim Tebow. Teams who have shown interest in Tebow include the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.

Many Broncos have speculated that free agents will sign with the organization in light of┬áManning’s arrival. “I think we’ll sign some guys. Defensive guys want to play with a lead, and I’m pretty sure guys are going to assume Peyton will put up points in this offense, ” said Broncos defensive end Robert Ayers. “We have some weapons.” More NFL offseason updates to come!
