The New York Jets and Denver Broncos encountered a problem in Tim Tebow’s contract that could reject the initial deal all together. Many believe that Tebow could wind up with the St. Louis Rams if things fall through.
After Manning agreed to a five-year, $96 million contract with the Broncos it was clear that Tebow’s days at Mile High were numbered. Other teams interested in aquiring his services include Jacksonville, Green Bay and Miami.
Tebow would have brough the wildcat to New York, which was inctroduced to the NFL by new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano during his time as head coach of the Dolphins. The Jets restored their faith in QB Mark Sanchez earlier in the offseason with a three-year, $40.5 million contract extension. Tebow’s presence would undoubtedley make Sanchez a bit less comfortable, knowing there’s another QB on the roster who advanced his team to the playoffs last season as they Jets went home early.
