The Rock ‘N Roll Express tour features Midwest talents REO Speedwagon, STYX and Ted Nugent. STYX rocker, JY, describes the concert as “a battle to the end of the Mayan Calendar with the Motor City Madmen” and promises a wild show where their “old” age will definitely not be a factor.

STYX, from Chicago, got its start in 1972 with their self-titled album. They have 15 studio albums, their latest coming in 2005, The Big Bang Theory, seven live albums, and 16 compilation albums. Some of their hits include “Lady,” “Come Sail Away,” and “Babe.” They last toured in the summer of 2011 with the Progressive U.S. Tour.

Coming from Illinois, REO Speedwagon debuted in 1971 with their own self-titled album and have a total of 16 studio albums. In addition, they have seven live albums and 17 compilation albums. They’ve had 13 top 40 hits on the U.S. Billboard charts, including off their most successful album, Hi Infidelity, “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On The Run.” Their last performance came in 2011 where they headlined the Milwaukee Sumerfest.

Detroit’s Ted Nugent kicked off his career in 1975 and also had a self-titled debut album. In total, he has 13 studio albums, including 2007’s Love Grenade, seven live albums, and three compilation albums. Nugent got his start as part of the Amboy Dukes, but is more known for his solo career.
