Following a thrilling 104-97 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, the Celtics will look to keep the ball rolling against the Milwaukee Bucks, the last non-playoff team the Celtics will play this season, on Friday night at TD Garden.
Things have been tough as of late for the Bucks, as they have lost seven of their last nine, and at 32-46, have been eliminated from playoff contention. Things have gone a little more smoothly for the Celtics, who have won seven of nine. The Celtics have won two of three meetings between the teams on the season.
The Celtics are currently tied with the Miami Heat for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, the final spot that secures home-court in the opening round of the playoffs. They sit just a half-game back of the Atlanta Hawks for third and are just one game ahead of the sixth place Charlotte Hornets. Coincidentally, the Hawks (away), Hornets, and Heat make up Boston’s final three games after Friday’s showdown with the Bucks.
