Celtics Healthy and Hungry for Heat

By on April 16, 2010 in

The Boston Celtics are now gearing up to face the Miami Heat for the first round of the 2010 post-season. Game 1 and 2 will take place at the TD Garden on Saturday, April 17th and Tuesday, April 20th before the series moves to Miami. It’s evident that the C’s couldn’t catch rhythm towards the home stretch of the regular season, winning just three of their last ten regular season contests. “We’ll find out who we really are,” said Celtics coach Doc Rivers. “I hope we’re more consistent, but the No. 1 thing is, we’ll be healthy.”

The playoffs provide a different schedule that seems beneficial to Boston’s veteran lineup with more days to rest between games. The series strategy for the Celtics will be to contain franchise player Dwayne Wade without fully stopping him. The super-star shooting guard is bound to average close to 30 points per-game. If they can lock up the rest of the Heat roster between Michael Beasley, Jermaine O’Neal and Quentin Richardson, they’ll live to see the top ranked Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Semi-finals. Boston Celtics playoff tickets are now available!
