The Boston Celtics are the Atlantic Division champs, but they’re still looking to make improvements on their roster to gear up for postseason play.

There is speculation that the Celtics have signed free agent center Sean Williams, who was waived by the Dallas Mavericks, and that he will be with the Celtics for the game in Atlanta tonight. To make room on the roster, the team waived Jermaine O’Neal, who had wrist surgery in March and will be out for the rest of the season. In addition to Williams, the Celtics recently brought on Ryan Hollins who came from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

If the Celtics grab the win tonight against the Hawks, they have a shot at clinching home court advantage in the playoffs. Ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference overall, the Celtics need to hold a better record by the Hawks by the end of the season. So far on the season, the Celtics are 2-0 against the Hawks.

In the past five games, the Celtics are 3-2 with a recent win over the Orlando Magic. After their away game tonight, they will come home for the final two games against the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Though the season is no longer on the line, the Celtics will look to continue their tough play and determination so they can go into the playoffs with momentum and try to win a championship.
