Before Tom Petty had his Heartbreakers, he had Mudcrutch, and now he’ll be bringing Mudcrutch to Boston. The band is slated for a Wednesday, June 15 performance at the House of Blues.

Petty (lead singer and guitarist) is one of three members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers that comprise Mudcrutch. Lead guitarist Mike Campbell and keyboardist Benmont Tench are also among the founding members of the Heartbreakers who made the crossover from Mudcrutch in the mid-1970s.

Mudcrutch released their self-titled debut album in 2008 and are set to release their second album, “2,” next month. Their top single came from the 2008 album, and is titled “Scare Easy.”

Tickets to see Mudcrutch on Wednesday, June 15 at the House of Blues are available HERE.
