Ray Allen netted 9-of-13 from downtown as Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis filled in for the Big Ticket with 23 points and eight boards to lead the Boston Celtics to a decisive 106-77 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. After elbowing Quentin Richardson in the opening contest during a mid-game scuffle near the Miami bench on Saturday, league officials issued Kevin Garnett a one-game suspension. The rest of the C’s lineup didn’t seem to have any problems stepping up in his absence.

In a block of time between the second and third quarters, Boston found themselves on a 44-8 run en route to showcasing four players in double digits. “When I stepped out there today and I saw the lineup, I was like, ‘This is the same lineup we had going into the playoffs last year that pushed Orlando to seven games with Glen out there,'” said Captain Paul Pierce. “We all know what he’s capable of.” The series is scheduled to debut in Miami for two games starting Friday before returning to Boston next week if necessary.
