Bruins Rally to Win in 2OT, Lead Series 3-1

Miroslav Satan found the net with 7:41 left in 2OT for the Boston Bruins to claim their third win of the series over the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 yesterday at the TD Garden. The B’s now hold the 3-1 advantage after rallying back from a 0-2 deficit in the third period. “Finally, it’s over,” said Satan. “We have a 3-1 lead, so it’s a little more breathing space, but the whole series has been good hockey from both sides and great goaltending, and we know that’s not going to change.”

Both Tuukka Rask and Ryan Miller were stellar in net with 37+ saves apiece. The final score was created through a power-play opportunity when officials sent Drew Stafford to the box for too many men on the ice. “I just jumped on. There’s not much to say,” said Stafford. “It’s just disappointing. But we don’t have time to dwell on it. We’ve got to get ready to play.”

Buffalo has scored the initial goal this series in all four contests. They were 30-0-0 when leading after two periods through the regular season, but find themselves 1-2 when up in post-season play. Game 5 is set for Friday in Buffalo at 7:00 PM. Boston Bruins playoff tickets are still available!
