The Fray and Kelly Clarkson are coming to Mansfield’s Comcast Center on August 25. They will be co-headlining a 30-city tour that kicks off July 21 in Ridgefield, WA and will hit all over the US with a spot in Canada. The Fray are promoting their third album, Scars and Stories, that was released in February 2012. The album hit #4 on the Billboard 200 chart and has already had two singles released, “Heartbeat” and “Run for Your Life.” The Fray is currently touring and will hit up a few spots in Texas and Florida through May.
Clarkson has gone on a number of tours since her American Idol winning-days, most recently in promotion of her new hit album, Stronger. It was her fourth headlining tour for her fifth album and she traveled across the US, including a show in Boston in January, and had a few shows in Canada, Britain, and Brazil. Stronger came out in 2011 and charted as high as #2 on the Billboard 200. Her single “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger),” hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, Adult Pop Songs, Pop Songs, and Hot Dance Club Songs charts.
In 2011, The Fray and Clarkson performed “The Christmas Song” together at the Miracle at State Street concert, which sparked the idea for a joint tour with Clarkson saying they “sounded really good together” at the show. They announced the tour mid-April on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.
