Bruins Out For Revenge vs. Flyers

By on April 28, 2011 in

The Boston Bruins are once again set to face off against the Philadelphia Flyers following their hard-fought 4-3 OT victory over the Montreal Canadiens Wednesday night. The B’s are hungry and will look to make up for last season’s playoff showing when the Flyers came back to win from a 3-0 deficit in the 2010 Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli insists that his team may find their next opponents easier to handle despite their recognized strength and size. “They’re bigger, first and foremost,” he said. “You saw that Montreal stretched the ice, and they’re always coming at you. These guys don’t stretch the ice as much, but they can go to the weak side a lot in their neutral zone, and they’re coming in rushes, but they don’t stretch it as much. They’re more north-south; they’re like us to a certain degree. They’ve got skill players; they’ve got some heavy players. Obviously there are more similarities between us and them than there are between us and Montreal.”
