Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Brett Favre will have to undergo ankle surgery if he chooses to enter his 20th NFL season. The 41 year old suffered the injury during the Vikings heartbreaking NFC Championship loss to the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints in January. Favre is currently contemplating whether or not to try for another successful season in Minnesota.
“This decision would be easy if not for my teammates and the fans and the entire Vikings staff,” said Favre. “One year truly felt like 10 – much like Green Bay for many years. That’s what I was missing in my heart I suppose, a sense of belonging.” Last year the future hall of famer produced his best statistical season to date. In total he racked up 363 completions for 4,202 yards and 33 TD’s, earning a 107.7 QB passer rating. Check back for more NFL offseason updates.
