This is a pretty quiet week for concerts, as most Bostonians have their eyes glued to the Sox, Bruins, and Celtics. The House of Blues, is still rocking though, and has a few shows lined up for this weekend. On Friday, May 7th Ok Go will appear at the HOB. The alternative rock band is known by many as that band dancing on treadmills. They have released numerous music videos featuring intricately choreographed routines. The most notorious one of these videos is for their single  “Here It Goes Again,” which has been viewed on YouTube over 50 million times. Ok Go is currently touring in support of their most recent album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky. General admission tickets for Friday’s show are available for $49.

Also at the House of Blues this weekend is Enrique Bunbury. The Spanish rock singer/songwriter will be performing on Saturday, May 8th. Bunbury is recognized by his wish to constantly reinvent himself. He frequently dissolves his bands after recording albums and touring with them. He has worked with many famous Hispanic musicians, including Heroes del Silencio and Nacho Vegas. General admission tickets are currently available for $85.

If you’re in the mood for a laugh on Saturday, comedian Lisa Lampanelli performs twice at the Wilbur Theatre. Not safe for work, Lampanelli is known for extremely racy and raunchy routines. In addition to numerous comedy specials and recordings, Lampanelli is also the author of a memoir entitled Chocolate, Please: My Adventures in Food, Fat, and Freaks. Shows are at 7 PM and 9:45 PM, and orchestra seats start at $90.

This weekend is your only chance to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Citi Performing Arts Center – Wang Theatre. The Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice rock opera has been nominated for numerous awards that include a half dozen Tony Awards since opening in 1972. There are matinee and evening performances on both Saturday and Sunday. Orchestra seats start at $115. This week is also your last chance to catch August: Osage Country at the Colonial Theatre.
