Hawks center Al Horford came up big in his first start in over three months, contributing 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead Atlanta past the Boston Celtics 87-86 last night at Philips Arena. Horford’s presence was crucial down the stretch, as he hit the Hawks’ final two baskets and held off Celtics PG Rajon Rondo in the closing seconds to send the series back to Boston for Game 6.

“I wanted to bring that energy to the team,” said Horford. “We can be nothing but confident. We know it’s going to be a big challenge up there.” Jeff Teague netted 16 points for Atlanta and Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams chipped in with 15 apiece. Rondo led the Celtics with 13 points, 12 assists and five rebounds. Game 6 is set for Thursday night at 8:00 PM. Contact Ace with all Boston Celtics ticket needs.
