Boston’s TD Garden is not only home to the Celtics and Bruins but also opens its doors to some of the most popular music acts around. This summer is no different, as the the Garden will play host to artists that include Aerosmith, Avicii, Neil Diamond, Coldplay and Madonna.
Avicii will be arriving in Boston Friday, June 15th. The Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer first hit the charts in 2010 with his debut single “Seek Bromance,” which reached the top 20 in several countries including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Sweden. Last year Avicii ranked # 6 on the Top 100 DJs list by DJ Magazine.
Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Diamond is set to perform at TD Garden Saturday, June 23rd. Diamond was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is touring to further promote his new compilation CD The Very Best of Neil Diamond.
The Garden will welcome British alternative rock band Coldplay Sunday, July 29th and Monday, July 30th. Coldplay is out with their fifth studio project Mylo Xyloto. Led by singles “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” and “Paradise,” the album sold 208,000 units in its first week while setting a one-week digital sales record with 83,000 copies sold.
Madonna is scheduled to close out the Garden’s summer concerts Tuesday, September 4th. The longtime singer-songwriter, actress and entrepreneur just dropped her 12th studio album MDNA and is in the midst of her worldwide tour.
