Celtics Take Cavs in 6, Magic Up Next

Kevin Garnett came alive with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lift the Boston Celtics past the top ranked Cleveland Cavaliers last night at the TD Garden in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. The Celts will continue their run with hopes to claim the East over the Orlando Magic. The seven-game series is set to kick off Sunday, May 16th at 3:30 PM. Meanwhile, LeBron James will once again make an early exit and watch the later rounds with his regular season MVP trophy by his side.

There’s no telling where LeBron will end up on next season. Many have speculated for ‘the King’ to discuss potential contracts with Cleveland, Chicago, New York, New Jersey and Miami. “I want to win. That’s my only thing, my only concern,” said James. “I’ve always prided myself – it’s all about winning for me and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that. But at the same time, I’ve given myself options to this point. Me and my team, we have a game plan that we’ll execute and we’ll see where we’re at.”

The Celtics are currently in top form during the most crucial time of the season. Everyone from the Big 3, Rondo and down played to their job description and more. Yesterday’s heroics were supplied by Tony Allen and Rasheed Wallace with 23 points combined off the bench. Allen was also able force nine turnovers out of James while gathering three steals for himself.

“Winning is gratifying,” said Garnett. “You’re playing the best team in basketball; the challenge is there; you don’t have to dress it up. One thing we don’t lack is confidence. We’re a veteran team and we understand when it’s time to lock in as a group. I think we did just that. I think the experience is taking over.”
