Eminem, Jay-Z to Co-Headline Home Parks

Mega-star rappers Eminem and Jay-Z are set to team up for two shows in their respective hometowns on Thursday, September 2nd at Comerica Park and Sunday, September 13th at Yankee Stadium. During a Tigers vs. Yankees game this past Wednesday, Eminem stated “this is a once in a lifetime set of shows, and I know we’re both really going to bring it to our home-towns.” Jay-Z added on to emphasize the importance showcasing their talents, saying “we wanted to stretch the genre of hip hop music and show that it can play live audiences.”

Jay-Z just recently completed his 2010 “BP3” tour to further promote his latest album The Blueprint 3. Singles “Run This Town” and “New York” have both received heavy airplay over the past several months. Eminem is working towards the release of his 7th studio project Recovery, which is set to drop in stores Tuesday, June 22nd.
