Red Sox Blast Marlins 10-2

Dustin Pedroia, Adrian Gonzalez and David Ortiz all reached base with singles to spark a six-run eighth inning, leading the Boston Red Sox to win big over the Miami Marlins 10-2 last night at Marlins Park. Felix Doubront let up just two runs on three hits and struck out nine.

“Felix Dubront was outstanding,” said Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine. “He had all of his arsenal. He had an explosive fastball. He threw his curveball for strikes early and late. He had a good changeup and a cutter. Boy, that’s good pitching.”

Boston has now won two straight and will look to build their streak in Chicago this weekend against Theo Epstein and the last place Cubs. Boston Red Sox tickets are now available!
