Manny Ramirez Returns to Fenway

The Boston Red Sox are scheduled to host Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend after winning three straight over the Arizona Diamondbacks. There is no telling how well received Ramirez will be when he steps up to the plate for the first time at Fenway since his loud exit back in 2008. Red Sox players just recently shared their opinions in regards to Mannys return, collectively pinning the 12x All-Star as ‘different.’ The last time most of his former teammates have seen or spoken to Ramirez was during his final days in Red Sox uniform.

“He was here a long time and put up great numbers and helped win a couple of World Series,” said Dustin Pedroia. “Who knows because you never know what the fans are thinking. It should be interesting, but I don’t know what to expect. It’s going to be fun to see what goes on. I haven’t talked to him since he got traded.”

The Red Sox are just two games behind the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East Division standings with a 40-28 regular season record. 23-year old left-hander Felix Doubront is set to make his Major League debut tonight against Dodgers rookie Carlos Monasterios. Boston Red Sox tickets are now available!
