Ozzfest is just around the corner, with its six touring dates coming up in August, Ozzfest lineup and news announcements are still making their way into the headlines. Two weeks ago, Ozzy announced that for the first time since the festival began in 1996 the show will go overseas, playing in London with a separate lineup.
This year’s US lineup includes the ever present Ozzy Osbourne as a headliner alongside Motley Crue, Rob Halford, DevilDriver and Nonpoint on the main stage. Playing on the second stage is Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviors and Kataklysm. With only six US touring dates for the third week of August, Ozzfest will be making its way to Mansfield’s Comcast Center August 24th for a full day of heavy metal.

Taking a hiatus from Ozzfest last year, Ozzy Osbourne decided to use the summer to record, coming up with 2010’s Scream featuring the single “Let Me Heart You Scream”. The album was released mid-June and will be promoted in a world-tour following the summer Ozzfest dates. As his tenth studio album, Scream debuted as number one on US and UK hard rock charts. The album celebrates the three decade mark of Ozzy Osbourne’s career and the 2010 festival marks the 12th annual Ozzfest since the festival was created in 1996 after Lollapalooza refused to add Ozzy to their lineup.
