Patriots, Saints to Practice Together

By on July 11, 2012 in

The New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints will hold a pair of joint practice sessions the week of their August 9th preseason matchup at Gillette Stadium. The plans have been discussed for quite some time between Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Saints interim coach Joe Vitt, as it would be the second time in three years the two teams have practiced together.

Vitt has recently taken over for Sean Payton, who was suspended for the season due to his role in the Saints bounty scandal. New Orleans will open up their preseason campaign August 5th in the Hall of Fame Game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Saints matchup will be the opener for New England.
