The longtime rival New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are scheduled to matchup once again for three games starting tonight at 7:10 PM. The clubs are currently tied atop the AL East Division at 68-42. “We’re supposed to be battling with these guys, we knew it was going to be a tough year in our division and it’s proved to be that,” said Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira. “They’re a great team, we’re playing well right now, so it’s going to be a fun series.”

The Bronx Bombers have won their last 10-of-12 following yesterday’s decisive 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Boston split their latest four-game series with the Cleveland Indians, which featured two walk-off hits supplied by Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury. Jon Lester and Bartolo Colon have been announced as tonight’s starters. John Lackey and CC Sabathia will take the mound Saturday with Josh Beckett and Freddy Garcia scheduled to start Sunday.
