The Boston Celtics announced this afternoon that they have reached a contract deal with forward Glen Davis. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. Celtics President of basketball Operations Danny Ainge spoke out saying “Glen has been a big part of our success for the past two years and we are very excited to have him back.”
Davis has spent two seasons with the Celtics; last year averaging 7 points and 4 rebounds per game. When he took over Kevin Garnett’s starting role , he netted 13 points with 6 rebounds on average. Along with re-signing Davis, the Celtics were able to reach a deal with free agent center/forward Shelden Williams. The C’s are eager to get back on the court this year, opening up the season against the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday October 27th in Cleveland, OH.
