The recently released Safety, John Lynch signed a one year deal with the New England Patriots on Friday. Lynch who was released by the Denver Broncos this Summer will earn $1.5 million with the Patriots. The Broncos had planned on altering Lynch’s role with the team in the upcoming season and gave him an opportunity to seek a role elsewhere by releasing him. Lynch still believes in his ability to compete at a high level.
“I still have a great passion for the game of football,” said Lynch. “I still very much love it in my heart. I still feel like I can compete at a Pro Bowl level…”
The addition of Lynch also fills a need for New England who will be without Safety, Tank Williams for the whole season. John Lynch is a 16 year NFL veteran and is 36 years old.
