Celtics Frontcourt Looks Lethal

After an injury filled 2008-2009 regular season, the Boston Celtics have done plenty to make sure they have enough depth on the bench heading into 2010.  General manager Danny Ainge stated that “this current group may be the best frontcourt since Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Bill Walton and Scott Wedman played together.  Kendrick Perkins and a healthy Kevin Garnett are expected to dominate the post to start for Boston.  Pressure for these big men has certainly diminished, knowing their frontcourt options between, Sheed, Big Baby, Sheldon Williams, and Scalabrine.

If the Celtics are able to stay healthy and energized going into the playoffs, the city of Boston should have a lot to look forward too.  With the added depth to their frontcourt, it seems as though no team in the East can even match up.  Celtics-Lakers games will serve as nothing short of spectacular with Derek Fisher, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Ron Artest and Andrew Bynum against Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Kendrick Perkins to start with deep benches filling in.

Boston is looking forward to their first regular season contest against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday, October 27th.
