New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson was recently arrested for driving without a license. He was originally pulled over for not wearing a seat belt, but police later found his license had been suspended. During the incident he was sending messages to his Twitter page, saying “Cops pulled me over cuz my windows were 2 dark (but my windows were down) how funny is that.”
Robinson has been in New York all week working at a local basketball camp. He was taken in to the 52nd Precinct and will face a day in court down the road. Robinson, after reflecting on the events has out with a former apology (again on his Twitter page). “To All My Tweeps: I was irresponsible earlier when I tweeted about being pulled over. I thought it was for tinted windows but turns out I had an unpaid ticket and I wasn’t aware the ticket had been mailed to my Seattle address … I apologize to the Knicks, my family and fans.” The Knicks are currently working to re-sign the restricted free agent. The two-time slam dunk champ averaged 17.2 points a game for New York last season.
