Oh Yeah! August is a killer month in the Hub for warm weather, live music, sports fans and beautiful people taking advantage of every opportunity they have to be outside. With that being said, let’s take a look at what we’ve got to offer you this week to help cure those Summertime blues.

The New England Patriots return for more preseason action this time squaring off against the Philadelphia Eagles tonight. It should be an exciting year for the Pats especially with the announcement of signing Olympic silver medalist Jeff Demps to the roster, let’s hope the reigning AFC champs can make another trip to the Super Bowl.

And our hometown favorites the Boston Red Sox return to Fenway for two series. The first against the Los Angeles Angels beginning on Tuesday and then facing off against the KC Royals starting Friday. Let’s help give them a hearty hometown welcome!

The Bank of America Pavilion has also been having some of the best concerts of the summer. Chill out Monday when Sublime with Rome play tribute to the band and their SoCal sound. On Tuesday the Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige will co-headline with D’Angelo to bring one night of smooth jams that is sure to leave you proclaiming Amen!

The very first winner of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson will grace the stage at the Comcast Center Saturday along with ballad rockers The Fray.

Put your boots on Country fans cause for two nights at Gillette Stadium Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw will be rocking the crowd. The Brothers of the Sun Tour is sure to be a good time with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals opening up the show.

If your down near the coast you can check out what we’ve got going on at the Cape Cod Melody Tent and the South Shore Music Circus.

Now get out there and get some sun Boston!
