The Boston Celtics have improved their roster once again this offseason, officially singing forward Jeff Green after over a month of contract negotiations. The new deal is rumored to be for four years and approximately $36 million.
Green missed the entire 2011-2012 regular season after undergoing heary surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm. The C’s aquired Green two seasons ago in a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder that sent away center Kendrick Perkins and guard Nate Robinson. He averaged 9.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 26 games for Boston that season.
“We are thrilled to have Jeff back with the Celtics,” president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said in a recent statement. “Jeff’s versatility on offense and ability to guard players out on the perimeter is something that we are looking forward to having on the court this season.” Boston Celtics tickets are now available!
