Adele Ojomo capitalized on his final opportunity to shine in preseason football, forcing a fumble to set up a 32-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes with 1:03 left on the clock for the New York Giants to win over the New England Patriots 6-3 Wednesday night at MetLife Stadium.

The rookie free agent out of Miami leads the Giants with four sacks in preseason and is hopeful the team will have a spot for him as they cut down to their 54-man roster on Friday.

“The coaches have got to evaluate the film. I think the (strip-sack) will work in my favor, but there’s a lot of different phases of the game they have to evaluate,” said Ojomo. “It would be a great honor to be a Giant. They’re a first-class organization. I’ll be confident Friday, I won’t be nervous. They have to make tough decisions, so you have to go out and do what you need to do to make it not so tough for them.”

Eli Manning and the Giants first-team offense was shut down by the Patriots reserves in the first quarter. Manning completed 4 passes for 29 yards in four series. Ryan Mallett started for the Patriots and threw 9-of-15 for 96 yards in the first half. The Pats are scheduled to battle the Tennessee Titans at LP Field for their preseason opener Sunday, September 9th. Regular season New England Patriots tickets are available here at!
