Though her music may have taken the backseat for a moment while she launched her acting career, Rihanna isn’t done performing on stage just yet. After recently opening the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards with a stunning performance and taking home the honor of Video of the Year, Rihanna plans to keep things moving forward.

The “Rihanna Diamonds World Tour” is set to kick off in 2013 in Buffalo, NY on March 8. From there, the tour will make stops in 27 cities across the country hitting Los Angeles, Toronto, Brooklyn and Chicago. She’ll make her stop in Boston on March 10 at TD Garden.

Rihanna’s previous tour, “LOUD,” solidified her as one of the top female solo artists of all time. By grossing $90 million worldwide, the tour became the 7th highest-grossing tour of 2011 and Rihanna became a sensation.

The 24-year old has sold over 37 million albums and 146 million digital tracks worldwide and is the recipient of 6 Grammy Awards. Rihanna currently holds the record for top-selling digital artist of all time. Her 60 million Facebook fans and 25 million Twitter followers helped her be crowned Forbes’ #1 social networking superstar in 2012. Her impressive catalogue of hits dating back to 2005 includes 18 #1 singles on the Billboard Dance Club Song Charts and 22 top 10 singles, including “We Found Love” which spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rihanna exclaims how this tour will be “bigger” and “more impactful” than her last tour. She said, “So this year we’re spending our time planning to make sure it’s bigger than anything we’ve done and something more impactful, maybe something different, so my fans can get excited about it.”

Excited fans can start purchasing their tickets now. Make sure to catch her in Boston March 10 by ordering your tickets here.
