DMB Plots Fall Tour Before Hiatus

By on September 15, 2010 in

Dave Matthews Band just recently scheduled a handful of fall tour dates before the start of their planned hiatus in 2011. The November string of shows will kick off at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY Tuesday, November 2nd. Boston’s TD Garden and New York City’s Madison Square Garden will each play host to the group for two nights soon after. Their run will conclude at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA Saturday, November 20th. Supporting acts on tour will include the Punch Brothers (November 5-6), the John Butler Trio (November 9-13), and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (November 16-20).

Dave Matthews has been clear on his decision to take a year off for some time now. In May the band came out with a statement that read: “As we feel the excitement building for this summer, we wanted to let everyone know that after twenty years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off. We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people’s lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We’re excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012.”

The group was last seen in the national spotlight performing at the NFL Kickoff concert in New Orleans on September 9th. Their summer itinerary ends tonight at the Xcel Energy Center in St Paul, MN. Purchase your Dave Matthews Band tickets with us at!
