The Boston Red Sox will play in their last home series of the season this Tuesday and Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Red Sox are officially a losing team for the first time since 1997 at 68-82. Something else to consider, however: The Sox averaged 91.8 wins throughout the past 14 seasons. They have also had eight post season appearances and two World Series titles. This season was bound to happen eventually so let’s just hope the next will be a turn around for the Sox.

The Boston College Eagles will host the Clemson Tigers this Saturday at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill. This game against their ACC rivals has been predicted as one of the toughest of the year.

Peter Gabriel is set to return to the stage at TD Garden this Monday night. Last year his critically acclaimed “New Blood” tour reignited fans and now he’s back to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his iconic album “SO.” The tour, entitled “Back to Front,” focuses on the entirety of this multi-platinum album. It will feature members of the original band that toured with “SO” and will feature every song on the album as well as some of his other hits.

The Wilbur Theatre will host comedian Brian Regan this upcoming weekend. He is set to perform at Wilbur Theatre on Friday at 7:30 and 10:00pm and again on Saturday at 7:00 and 9:45pm. In the past few decades Brian Regan has moved to headliner status and developed into one of the best stand up comedians in the country. His highlights have included his own specials on both comedy Central and Showtime, regular appearances on both the Late Show with Davit Letterman and Conan O’Brien, and opening regularly for Jerry Seinfeld.

This Friday, musician, singer, songwriter and record producer, Jack White will be coming to Boston University’s Agganis Arena. White was best known as the guitarist, pianist and lead vocalist of The White Stripes until their split in 2011. He is ranked No. 70 on Rolling Stone’s list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” His set list is to include songs off of his debut solo album “Blunderbuss” which was released earlier this year.

The Phantom Gourmet Food Festival is back for another year this Sunday from noon-4pm. At this popular event on Lansdowne St. you can sample more than 80 of the local hit TV show’s favorite foods. Tickets are available for $40 in advance and $50 at the door.
