Patriots vs. Bills Preview

The New England Patriots will head to Ralph Wilson Stadium this weekend to face the Buffalo Bills. After a two-game losing skid New England will be counting on Brady to bring them back to .500 and avoid a third straight loss.

The Patriot’s haven’t had a streak of three consecutive losses since October of 2002. Scott Winstone of Top Bet points out, “New England has only suffered two-game skids twice in three seasons and each time emerged with a victory. We expect plenty of volume on the Pats in Week 4 for sure.”

Buffalo had a rough season opener against the New York Jets (48-28) but has come back in full swing with consecutive wins over Kansas City and Cleveland to improve to 2-1 SU and ATS. Ryan Fitzpatrick contributed to the rocky start by throwing three interceptions but has since thrown five touchdowns and has had no interceptions in the last two games. The running game of the Bills has also been strong.

The competition is different for them this week, however. New England is 18-2 SU and 13-6-1 ATS against Buffalo over the last 20 games. Buffalo did beat the Pats at home last season but New England retaliated with a blowout win (49-21) in Foxborough.

Betting against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick in this game doesn’t seem like a very good idea. The Patriots will be taking this game very seriously. Not only because of what happened last year at Ralph Wilson Stadium, but also because of their disastrous 1-3 start. New England is desperate not to fall two games under .500.
