The 2008 MLB playoff picture is finally set as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Twins in playoff to determine the AL Central Division winner. The White Sox only need one run in a pitching dominated game last night. A home-run by Jim Thome in the 7th inning was all the offense required for Chicago as John Danks pitched eight strong innings, giving up only two hits.
Ken Griffey Jr. also made a huge play, throwing out Cuddyer at home plate to preserve the win. The tired White Sox will now head to Tampa to face the AL East Division winning Tampa Bay Rays. Game 1 of this series takes place on Thursday at 2:30pm in Tampa.
