Patriots Use Running Game to Down Denver

Stevan Ridley rushed for 151 yards and one touchdown from 28 carries in total, stealing the spotlight in yesterday’s Brady vs. Manning showdown and leading the New England Patriots to win over the Denver Broncos 31-21 at Gillette Stadium. The 23-year old out of LSU fumbled late in the game but the Patriots forced Denver RB Willis McGahee to lose control of the ball soon after for New England to solidify the W.

Quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have now faced each other 13 times. Brady completed 23-of-31 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown and ran for another. Manning racked up 31 completions for 345 yards and three TD’s, but even that wasn’t enough to stop New England’s versatile attack.

“It’s Patriots-Broncos,” said Brady. “It was a great team win. We got some turnovers from our defense and I thought offensively capitalized at times. There were a few lulls in there, which I wish we had executed a little bit better, but for the most part it’s a good day.” The Patriots currently stand alone atop the AFC East at 3-2. They are next scheduled to take on the Seattle Seahawks away at CenturyLink Field Sunday, October 14th. Purchase your New England Patriots tickets right here at!
